Mark combines years immersed in financial markets with eighteen years of experience supporting people through behavioural and personal change. Long before mentoring traders, his work centred on helping people rebuild their lives through accountability, self-awareness, disciplined action and structured personal development.
That experience now sits alongside serious market education: technical analysis, strategy development, structured risk management and the behavioural work required to execute those things under pressure.
“The gap between what you know and what you actually do is where I do some of my best work.”
— Mark
Mark is not there simply to tell a trader what they are doing wrong. He starts by understanding what is actually happening — what the trader does, when it happens, what happens immediately before it, and what the behaviour is giving them. From there, the pattern can be challenged honestly and something practical can be put in its place.
Empathy without collusion.
Mark helps traders understand why certain decisions, reactions and behavioural patterns emerge during execution. Once the underlying pattern is properly understood, practical solutions can be put in place. After all, before any problem can be solved effectively, it first needs to be understood.
Challenge without humiliation.
Contradictions, rationalisations and destructive behavioural patterns are identified early and explored without judgement. Once recognised, the trader can begin putting the necessary solutions, processes and guardrails in place so those patterns no longer continue to undermine execution and performance.
Responsibility without shame.
Mark helps traders take responsibility for the things within their control without allowing guilt, shame or embarrassment to become another barrier to progress. The trader can own what happened, learn from it and change it. The markets cannot be controlled. The work begins with learning to control what can be controlled — starting with ourselves.
Independence over dependency.
The goal is not to make the trader reliant on mentorship. It is to help them become increasingly capable of seeing, understanding and correcting their own behaviour through structured processes of self-analysis, reflection and continued self-improvement.

How Mark Works With Traders
Insight matters. Changed behaviour matters more.
01 Understand what is actually happening
Not simply “you are undisciplined”. What exactly is happening? When does it happen? What comes immediately before it? Mark slows the sequence down until the actual behaviour — and the trigger behind it — becomes visible.
02 Challenge the story
Is the market really the problem? Is this genuinely an exception? Would the trader advise somebody else to do the same thing? Mark tests the explanation, exposes contradictions and challenges the story where the evidence does not support it.
03 Identify the pattern
What is the behaviour providing — relief, control, excitement, revenge, hope or avoidance? Mark looks for the repeated pattern and the function it is serving, because behaviour becomes easier to change once its purpose is understood.
04 Put something practical in its place
Rules, guard rails, environmental changes, accountability, planned responses and clear actions are put in place. The objective is not merely to understand the problem, but to give the trader something better to do when it appears again.
05 Test it under pressure
Insight when calm is not the same as changed behaviour when money is on the line. The new response is tested, reviewed and refined until it can hold up under genuine trading pressure.
“Often, it’s difficult to see the wood for the trees when you’re standing in the middle of them. I have the advantage of being objective — as if I’m looking down on the forest from a helicopter. I can often see where you’ve drifted from the path, what keeps pulling you away from it, and help you navigate through the forest towards greater consistency, improved performance and ultimately, success.”
